Zoning systems
The ultimate in temperature control: comfort where you want it, sooner, for less energy.
How it works
A zoning system is installed on a central air conditioning system to control the temperature of up to four separate sections of a building. Motorized dampers control how much air flows to each zone. Each zone has its own thermostat, wired to an electronic control board with the dampers. When a zone calls for air, its dampers open and the others close, sending the conditioned air where it is needed.
Where it helps
Zoning is common in two-story homes, to separate the floors, and in single-story homes, to separate the living areas from the bedroom wing. It is also used for main bedrooms, media rooms and server rooms that need precise control. Every system is designed for the building it serves.
Questions
